Angela Naimou

“Growing up in an immigrant community in and around Detroit, Michigan, I could not understand my neighborhoods or the world I live in without studying the ideas, arts, and histories of African diasporas. Black-led freedom struggles have challenged systems of exploitation for centuries, enlarged immigration and labor rights, and explored the links between freedom struggles locally and worldwide. ”
