Profile

I joined the Sports Communication faculty at Clemson University after a 10-year career teaching Digital Media and Journalism in the School of Communication at the University of Hartford, and three years as a Journalism Lecturer at Concordia University in Montreal. My professional background includes more than three decades of radio broadcasting experience as a sportscaster, reporter, and show host in the major Canadian media markets of Toronto, Vancouver and, most recently, Montreal. My last professional radio stop was as the weekend morning show host on the ESPN affiliate TSN 690 Montreal. My primary 'beat' as a reporter in Montreal was covering the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League. I provided play-by-play of this storied hockey franchise. As a network radio reporter, I covered four Olympics (most recently Vancouver 2010), the Stanley Cup Playoffs, World Hockey Championships, Major League baseball playoffs, Formula One racing, The Pan-American Games, Commonwealth Games, and countless other major sporting events. Music has been a big part of my life, as well. When I'm not teaching, you're likely to find me jamming on-line with musicians from across the United States and performing at the occasional open-mic event. I play a pretty mean blues guitar.
