Educational Background | ProfileClinical Instructor for undergraduate students and Registered Nurse support staff within Clemson Rural Health. Passion is engaging and challenging undergraduate students to be part of a healthcare team through research, building a broad knowledge base and implementing best practice models while connecting theory to actual patient care. Another passion is access to holistic healthcare for everyone, especially disparate and underserved populations. Also serve as Occupational Health Nurse and manage the Medical Surveillance Program(MSP) for Clemson University. MSP includes Occupational Health and Safety efforts to provide a safe working environment for students and employees who have exposure to animals, animal tissue or waste, human bloodborne pathogens, and certain chemical, physical, and other potential hazards. The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) coordinates with Research Safety, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), the Office of Research Compliance, and the Office of Animal Resources to identify, assess, and manage potential health risks, with a goal of reducing risk to the lowest possible level. |
