On April 16, 2018, Clemson University’s Bioengineering department is hosting a one-day International Biomaterials Symposium at the Madren Center. The event will honor the original International Biomaterials Symposium held on Clemson campus over 40 years ago (April, 1975).

The goal of this year's event is to strengthen the ties between Clemson University and the top institutions in Japan. The program will be featuring the presentations by the Japanese delegates with Kazuhiko Ishihara (U Tokyo) as the keynote speaker. Also featured will be the past participants of the student exchange activities made possible by Fujifilm Endowment, and young investigators of Clemson's Bioengineering program.
