Give

Chair’s Excellence Fund

Our mission is to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment for our students to become career-ready Civil Engineering professionals prepared to have a global impact. We partner with alumni and friends to underpin society by addressing its grand challenges and by proactively expanding our students’ perspectives through scholarship, teaching, research, and outreach.

In direct response to the financial toll created by the pandemic, we have created a new Chair’s Excellence Fund for unrestricted discretionary gifts to help us address the most pressing student-centered needs of the Department and to afford us the agility to embark on high-potential research opportunities in short order by funding competitive TIGER Grant style proposals from the faculty. Initially, to enhance undergraduate student learning, the funds will be used to restore the level of support to help deliver instructional activities to our students.

We value immensely your role as a Clemson Multiplier, one who gives back to the Alma Mater and amplifies the Clemson brand, and the trust you have placed upon us to continue our commitment to our students and to society.

Clemson’s Give Day is April 21. The power of giving cannot be underestimated. There is strength in numbers, and each gift has the potential to make a significant difference for our beloved University. Our sixth annual Give Day is our opportunity to come together as Tigers to move Clemson forward. No matter how much you give, your donation will go toward creating opportunities for people on their Clemson journey.

We want to lead the Give Day effort by asking you to help us reach our goal to raise at least $100,000 for this initiative. Be one of the first supporters of Give Day by making your gift now by clicking on the Give Now button below and choosing either the Civil Engineering Department Support or the Emerging Leaders Fellowship Endowment funds from the dropdown list.

We appreciate your generosity and hope you stay safe and healthy.

With Gratitude,

Dr. Jesus M. de la Garza, Chair
