Who Should I Contact?

The School of Computing has dedicated undergraduate advising and student services staff to assist you.

Current CPSC and CIS Students

  • Academic Advising: use CU Navigate to schedule a "pre-registration advising" or "general advising" appointment with your primary academic advisor (as listed in iROAR and Degree Works).
  • Elsewhere Paperwork: please schedule an appointment with Ms. Menefee  or Dr. Plaue.
  • Please make sure you bring a copy of the Permission to Take Coursework Elsewhere form with you to your meeting.
  • You must complete and deliver this signed paperwork to Enrolled Student Services prior to attending classes.
  • Clemson University's residency requirement states that of the last 43 hours applied to your degree, 37 must come from instruction via Clemson. Please see the Undergraduate Catalog for more information. 
  • Other Paperwork: please contact your primary academic advisor.

CPSC and DPA Minors

  • You may schedule a "general advising" appointment with Ms. Menefee for questions regarding the administration of the CPSC or DPA minors.
  • For more detailed questions regarding Digital Production Arts, please contact Dr. Eric Patterson, Associate DPA Director.

Prospective CPSC and CIS Students (aka Changing Majors for Current Clemson Students)

  • Use CU Navigate to schedule a "Explore Major" appointment with either Ms. Menefee or Dr. Plaue.
    • Please note that during the busiest portion of pre-registration advising sessions (generally April, October, and November), appointments for questions related to change of majors may be limited.

Prospective Clemson Students

  • Our prospective student page contains information about the School of Computing.  We also encourage you to visit our campus and attend one of our School of Computing tours where you will learn more about our academics, tour our facilities, visit a research lab, and meet current students.
