Quality and Six Sigma Certification

Interested in earning a Six Sigma Green Belt certificate?

Then be sure to make plans to register for IE 3600, 3610, and 4620, the three Quality and Six Sigma courses offered that qualify you for a Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Even better, the series of courses is offered online, over the summer so you can earn credit where ever you are, as long as you have Internet access.  View the course descriptions below and be sure to complete the Certificate Plan of Study.

IE 3600 Industrial Applications of Probability and Statistics 3 credits (3 contact hours)

Axioms of probability, discrete and continuous distributions, and sampling distributions applied to industrial engineering applications. Engineering applications of statistical estimation, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals.

IE 3610 Industrial Quality Control 3 credits (3 contact hours)

Quality engineering techniques focusing on process control using statistical methods including control charts and acceptance sampling.

IE 4620/6620 Six Sigma Quality 3 credits (3 contact hours)

Study of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) elements of Six Sigma, project management, process analysis, quality function deployment, hypothesis testing, gage R&R, data analysis, multivari-analysis, design of experiments, statistical process control, and process capability analysis.
