To Submit

We welcome article submissions of approximately 8,000 words as well as shorter research notes of approximately 2,500 words. We also invite proposals for clusters on special topics related to Eliot’s life and works, including those based on conferences and roundtable discussions.

All submissions should be styled according to The Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition) and follow Merriam-Webster’s current edition for spelling. Please document sources using endnotes, with a full citation indicating only relevant page numbers in the first instance. In the second and all subsequent instances of the same source, please use a short-form citation that includes the author’s/authors’ last name(s), title, and relevant page number(s). Please do not use “ibid,” “Op. Cit.,” etc. Please do not submit a bibliography or list of works cited in addition to the endnote citations. For all works written by Eliot, please use our standard abbreviations, followed by the relevant page number only.

All article submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of no more than 300 words.
