Application Information

SIP encompasses the sales faculty, sales courses and industry engagement programs Clemson offers to provide world-class sales education to our students. It is our mission to empower our students to inspire their audiences into action. In line with this mission, our goal is to manage the number of students which can be well served by our faculty resources. This allows us to provide the highest quality of sales education. This also requires that students interested in SIP have clear, compelling reasons for taking sales-focused courses.

These courses include:

  • MKT 4240 Sales Management
  • MKT 4950 Applied Selling
  • MKT 4950 Selling Medical Devices
  • MKT 3980 Creative Inquiry - Golf Tournament Selling

Who is Eligible?

Students university-wide are eligible to apply to SIP who have:
1) junior standing or higher in the upcoming Fall semester.
2) completed or are currently taking MKT 4200*.
3) enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at Clemson University.

*If you are interested solely in the MKT 4950 Selling Medical Devices course, the MKT 4200 prerequisite is not required to be eligible. The MKT 4200 prerequisite is required to be eligible for all other SIP courses.

If you are interested in taking these courses and participating in SIP, we encourage you to apply using the link provided below. Students will not be allowed to register for any of these courses if they have not been approved through the application process. A committee of SIP faculty will review applications according to the schedule below. Late applications will not be considered.
