Profile
Samantha N. Scott, Ph.D., is a Special Education Lecturer in the Department of Education and Human Development.
She teaches undergraduate courses in reading and writing methods for students with disabilities; early intervention; disability characteristics; service delivery and collaboration with families and parents.
Her research interests include assessment practices and academic interventions in literacy and mathematics for students with learning disabilities or who are at risk, the use of progress monitoring systems for improving teacher planning and student achievement, mixed-reality simulation and teacher preparation.
Previously, she worked as a Special Education teacher (self-contained, resource and inclusion) in the Greenville County School District.
