Human Capital Education and Development

Human capital is about the knowledge, skills and abilities essential for high performance in work and career in our knowledge- and technology-based economy. The hybrid (online and in-person) program is open to first-year freshmen, major changers, Bridge students, and technical college and other transfer students.     Online Option and Flexible Pathways of Entry

    Flexible Online or In-Person Learning with Major Changer, Bridge, and Technical College Transfer Pathways

    Cost

    You can transfer up to 60 credit hours of technical college credit, decreasing tuition expenses and student loans. The option to accelerate into the Masters of Human Resource Development program in the fourth year gives students up to a 12 credit hour head start on graduate studies – and provides greater opportunities with higher salaries.

    This one-of-a-kind program has been built in partnership with Clemson University’s largest employers, regional businesses of various sizes and engaged in sectors important to the economic development of our state, and internationally recognized expert in Human Resource Development. Industry partners are engaged throughout the program to build student networks, provide exposure to employers, and ensure industry aligned and in-demand program content.

    Guidance/Student Support Services

    To best meet your needs, your Academic Advisor is housed on Clemson’s main campus. You will be able to meet with them virtually or face to face pending your location for general advising questions that you have or to plan your next semester’s courses.

  • Residency Requirements

    The purpose of residency is to elevate and enhance student learning experiences in the program. Residency components are designed to:

    • expose students to and leverage Clemson University facilities and resources to support learning outcomes,
    • deeply engage students in Clemson networks, and
    • facilitate experiential learning opportunities which integrate future employers and employment opportunities for Clemson graduates
  • Technical College Transfer Information

    Many technical college degree programs have been mapped to the Human Capital Education and Development degree program. Currently we have maps for programs at TriCounty Technical College, Greenville Technical College, Trident Technical College, and Aiken Technical College. We are always mapping new degrees!

    • Minimum of 12 credit hours earned at Clemson
