4-H cloverTurning ideas into action, 4-H youth are becoming everyday heroes who persevere through challenges to leave lasting, positive impacts on their communities. Through the work of caring mentors, 4-H - a positive youth development organization - is cultivating a growing number of America's youth to lead us in a Revolution of Responsibility. Their commitment challenges us all to join the movement toward meaningful change.  Saluda County 4-H offers programs, clubs and projects in animal agriculture and veterinary science, natural resources and the environment, gardening, leadership and citizenship, personal growth and development, and science, engineering and technology.

What is 4-H

4-H is an educational youth program focusing on the needs, interests, and concerns of young people. Our aim is to help Saluda youth gain a positive self-concept, develop social skills and decision-making abilities, and learn subject knowledge needed for a productive life. 4-H members develop leadership and citizenship skills through individual project work, group activities, community service, and school meetings. We are the youth division of the Clemson Extension program.

Saluda County 4-H offers programs, clubs and projects in animal agriculture and veterinary science, natural resources and the environment, gardening, leadership and citizenship, personal growth and development, and science, engineering and technology.
