Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program described below is available to graduate students who are employed by the University as graduate assistants. Graduate students who are not employed as graduate assistants can access counseling and related services through CAPS.

The Clemson University Graduate School, recognizing the challenges of graduate student life, implemented the Student Assistance Program to provide support for any graduate assistant experiencing difficulties that may result in personal stress or problems that could impact their academic responsibilities and assistantship duties. The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is provided through an outside resource, Deer Oaks Work/Life Services. Visit the Graduate School’s Deer Oaks information page to learn how to log to the Clemson Students homepage.

Contact Deer Oaks – 24-hour Helpline 1-866-327-2400. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is also a live-chat button on the SAP homepage for help with specific topics.
