Who is Dr. Ye?

Dr. Tong Ye is an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at Clemson University with joint appointment in the Department of Cell and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was initially trained in the fields of optics and laser spectroscopy and now focuses on developing advanced imaging technologies for studying cell and tissue functions. He is particularly interested in developing 3D imaging techniques that can visualize dynamic biological processes with high or super-high spatial and temporal resolutions.

How Dr. Ye’s research is transforming health care

Collaborating with biologists and clinicians, Dr. Ye and his lab are working on imaging problems that are raised from diagnostics and treatment of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal disorders.
