About the EXPO

Pro Benefits Clemson UniversityDuring this all-day conference that includes facilitated educational sessions, employees will have access to vendors who offer information on insurance, retirement, leave, tuition assistance and wellness benefits. Additionally, OHR’s benefit counselors will be on hand to assist you with any questions or changes to your benefits.

These well-time services are provided to you right in the middle of the annual open enrollment period. Please take this opportunity to get your free flu shot, refreshments and key information on Clemson’s benefits package.

Learn how an interactive planning tool from VALIC can help you see and analyze your retirement plan like never before during a live demonstration.  All employees regardless of retirement plan selection can benefit from this tool.

The 529 Savings Plan (20 minutes)

A 529 plan is a tax advantaged saving plan designed to encourage saving for future education.  This session will discuss the program, how to enroll and how to have your contributions payroll deducted.

Allow Aflac to Help You When You Need It Most (20 minutes)

Saving for the Future and Living Today.  Can I Do Both? (50 minutes)

If I am going to secure my long-term future, I need to be saving today.  However, with cash flow being an issue for most of us we want to explore ways to save more money.  This seminar is designed to help you understand what you have as well as how to efficiently save for the future.

Secrets of the SCRS Retirement Plan: An In-Depth Look (50 minutes)

Enrolled in the South Carolina Retirement (SCRS) plan or thinking about transferring in? Discuss the plan in more detail to learn little known programs advantages and facts of the SCRS Retirement plan.

Tuition Edition: Taking Care of the Cost of Your Tuition (50 minutes)

Thinking of taking courses through Clemson while you work? Great! Let Clemson help you do that for free! Learn how you can take courses at Clemson for no or little cost through the Employee Tuition Assistance Program. Already taken courses somewhere else and have federal student loans? That’s ok too! Clemson can also help! Learn about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program which may help you lower your outstanding loan balance.
