Supervisor Training Series

In an effort to provide clear, standardized expectations and development opportunities, the Office of Human Resources will host a training series designed specifically for the University’s supervisors. These sessions will provide University supervisors with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviors that will allow them to excel in their current roles.


Supervisors of one or more direct reports are encouraged to register for the sessions. Registered participants must not have received written disciplinary or performance improvement actions through Human Resources within the past 12 months.

Participation is Encouraged Throughout the State

Training is offered in-person on campus in the Administrative Services Building, Training Room.  If you are off-campus and wish to participate in a training, video-conferencing technologies are available for all sessions.

Attention: Enroll early! Sessions are capped at 20 supervisors.


Registration can be completed below by clicking on the link for each date in the ‘Training Sessions and Schedule Session’.  You will be prompted to provide your university credentials to log in to the university’s Tiger Training system.

Encouraging and Growing Civility in the Workplace

One Clemson: Equitable Treatment and Civility in the Workplace is a professional development program that provides a comprehensive approach to fair employment practices designed to help supervisors learn to deal constructively with workplace issues and relationships on the job. It provides an interactive, skills-based approach to learning that will help to ensure that decision-making is done in a legal, fair, and reflective manner based on the University’s policies and procedures. The program also emphasizes the responsibility each member has to create the healthy workplace environment necessary to reach organizational goals.

This course is for supervisors only. This class discusses proper interviewing techniques including interview questions types, details on what you can and cannot ask prospective candidates, and provides tips and resources available to supervisors.
