Veterans Virtual 5K: An annual fundraiser to build a Fischer House project near the Dorn VA Medical Facility in Columbia, SC. Registration is free, and participants are encouraged to sign up and support with participation and donations. This year, participants and donors can choose to affiliate with either Clemson or UofSC in a healthy competition to see who can gain more support for this project. Green Zone Training - Staff and Faculty : This 90-minute workshop provides staff and faculty opportunity to learn about the military and veteran experience, resources to support veterans, and ways to become advocates and supporters in building a veteran-inclusive college campus. Register here.

Camouflage Has Many Colors: Discussing Race in the Military and Veteran Communities: Over 1 out of 4 Clemson veterans identify as a minoritized racial identity, however within Clemson veteran organizations and in the Veteran Center, we see an overrepresentation of White veterans. Similar findings can be found in many veteran service organizations in the community. Join an online conversation about an important topic that isn’t discussed enough: race in the military/veteran communities. Discuss ways to critically discuss and identify issues and work toward solutions to increase diversity and inclusion within our military and veteran communities.  Register here.

CASE in Point: The Realities of Black and Brown People in Corporations and Government: Dr. Mike Horton, combat veteran and West Point graduate, will be presenting on the realities of Black and Brown people in corporations and the government in America as seen through his personal experiences. He will discuss the importance of speaking to the needs of that community and plans to enlighten the audience with some of the challenges facing underrepresented people and the systemic internal narratives that perpetuate those challenges.  RSVP here.
