Human Oncology and Pathogenesis - Rising 10th-12th Graders
Students in this course will be taught how to grow cancer cells and how to split cells when flasks are too full. They will learn how to determine cell counts and how to differentiate live from dead cells. Students will also learn about the appearance and food requirements of various cell lines. Plant extracts will be tested on cancer cells and their effects will be discussed. Students will become proficient in cancer research, covering both the theory and the latest research technology.
