Research and Teaching Interests

My research interests include the development of teacher identity as one component of professional identity among graduate students, analyzing undergraduate mathematical understandings needed for success in STEM major coursework, and using social network theory to explore the impact of mathematical and teaching communities of practice on teaching practice for graduate students and preservice secondary teachers.
