PHOTO ARCHIVE IN NUCLEAR ASTROPHYSICS
The goal of this website is to make widely available many
personal photographs of interest to the history and appreciation of
nuclear astrophysics. Images are those of Donald Clayton and of other
Clemson University researchers and collaborators . It is a photo history of
nuclear astrophysics as it was experienced by Donald Clayton at Caltech,
Rice, Cambridge, Heidelberg and Clemson.
Posted images are listed by year and partial subjects. An example:
1992 NASA Administrator and Clayton: This image records NASA
Administrator Richard Truly and Associate Administrator Aaron Cohen
awarding NASA Headquarters Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal to
Donald Clayton.
This Clemson University web PhotoArchive is under continuous development.
Phase I ended in January 2000. At that time a CD copy of the files was
mailed to the Center for the History of Physics at AIP for their archives.
They are also promised the original photographs and negatives.
PhotoArchive images may be used for personal, noncommercial purposes.
These include the preparation of course or instructional materials by
