Prior to retiring in 2012, Dr. Elzerman’s major teaching and research interests were in environmental chemistry and environmental science and policy. He taught courses in environmental chemistry, environmental science and introductory environmental engineering. Dr. Elzerman also served as the Department Chair for 12 years, and led the Clemson University Sustainable Universities Initiative. He was also a member of the faculties of the Environmental Toxicology Program and the Policy Studies Program.
Research activities focused on the sources, fate and analysis of chemicals in environmental systems.
Professor Alan Elzerman is a Collaborator on the Department of Energy, Experimental Program to Stimulate Competetive Research Implementation Project "Radionuclide Waste Disposal: Development of Multi-scale Experimental and Modeling Capabilities" (2014-Present)
Dr. Elzerman does not currently teach classes.
