Focuses on scientific and technical issues; responsible for leading the development of large scale networks and high performance computing systems used for computation-intensive research; provides a technical voice in Clemson’s strategic planning for services, strategy, and structure; builds a vision of what technology will make possible;evaluates new technologies and serves on national level technical committees.

Executive Director, Network Services and Telecommunications
Oversees the Clemson computing network, the university's telephone services, building communication wiring and related activities.

Boyd Wilson
Software CTO and Interim Executive Director, Computing Systems and Operations (CSO)
As Software CTO, works with leadership to set software, middleware and integration strategy by reviewing and advising on all SW architecture issues and leading the SW architecture group. Engages and provides guidance for all matters relating to SW technology, including migration to the cloud, open source projects, research collaboration, public and private partnerships and national/international programs that benefit the University.

Executive Director, Cyberinfrastructure Technology Integration (CITI)
Responsible for building a campus cyberinfrastructure (CI) environment and engaging faculty, staff, and students who need CI for their academic, research, and outreach activities.

Stacey Thornton
Executive Director, Medicaid IT Services
Responsible for providing services and support for the major information systems of the University. Staff develops, purchases, installs, and maintains application software and databases that support the University's core administrative processes and information needs. Responsible for providing general standards and guidelines for application architecture and consulting for departmental software development, installation, and maintenance. Also provides programming services and support, via contracts, to state agencies.

Executive Director, Advanced Computing and Infrastructure (ACI)
Oversees the supercomputing infrastructure, operations, and related research activities.
