Airport Information

Charleston is serviced by the Charleston International Airport (callouts: IATA: CHS, ICAO: KCHS, FAA LID: CHS); which is in North Charleston, SC and is approximately 12 miles (19 km) northwest from downtown (historic) Charleston.

Airlines that fly to / from CHS include Delta, United, and American Airlines as well as several smaller low-cost carriers, including Alaska Air, Allegiant, Frontier, JetBlue, and Southwest airlines.

Airport Transfers

Taxi service is available from CHS to downtown Charleston, as are ride-sharing vendors Uber and Lyft.

Cars can also be rented directly at CHS from the major US providers.

The conference hotel (and conference venue), The Hotel on Market, is now full of WSOF participants. They have graciously extended the WSOF conference rate at their sister property, The King Charles Inn (https://www.kingcharlesinn.com/), which is located a short 5 min (0.1 mile / 0.16 kms) from The Hotel on Market conference venue.

Spouses and Family

WSOF will not have a formal spouse/family program. However, there are nearly endless activities in Charleston and the nearby Lowcountry region. This includes a wide variety of walking tours around the historic downtown near the conference hotel, to shopping along King Street, to boat tours of the Charleston harbor and its islands (many of which house Revolutionary and Civil War military fortresses) to gorgeous plantations.

Visa Information

Depending upon the citizenship of WSOF attendees, visas to enter the United States might be required. Specific information on whether a visa is required and how to obtain one can be found on the U.S. Visa Travel site. Please apply for a visa early, in case of any delays during processing.

If you require a visa invitation or accommodation confirmation letter, please email us. To receive a visa invitation letter (for visa application purposes), you must have already paid for your conference registration.
