Clemson Light Imaging Facility

Dr. Terri Bruce, Director

The Clemson Light Imaging Facility (CLIF) offers project investigators access to an array of advanced light microscopes.  Our technical experts have an educational and research background in engineering, cell biology, and microbiology.  We offer consultation appointments, and are available to assist researchers with all stages of experimental design.  We have a fully functional molecular biology laboratory; researchers may conduct lab procedures in our facility, and can try samples of a wide variety of in-stock commercial stains.

The list of available equipment can be found here.  We feature a suite of equipment manufactured by our corporate partner, Leica Microsystems, including a SP8X multiphoton confocal, a SPE confocal, a M125 stereoscope, and a DM750 polarized light microscope. SC BIOCRAFT researchers may also be interested in utilizing our Biorad S3e cell sorter, which will be available beginning in November 2016.

For more information about the CLIF, or to schedule a consultation appointment, please contact our Director, Dr. Terri Bruce or our Lab Manager, Rhonda Powell.
