Faculty Overview
Dr. Falta's primary teaching and research interests are in hydrogeology, contaminant transport/remediation, and multiphase flow in porous media. He teaches courses in these areas, and in applied mathematics. Research projects have largely focused on environmental remediation of hazardous waste sites, and petroleum reservoir engineering. Anticipated future research projects will focus more on geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide, and geological alternative energy systems.
