Series25CollegeNET's Series25 software suite is designed to handle the event scheduling needs of colleges and universities, from simple meetings to academic classes to week-long conferences and beyond.  The Clemson Banner Project Team is implementing Series25 to be the system of record for academic spaces on campus, giving the Registrar's Office and academic departmental coordinators the ability to share space availability information online, and request the use of space from one another.  Part of this process is the implementation of Schedule25, CollegeNET's classroom scheduling optimizer, which will increase the overall utilization of academic space by moving away from ad hoc classroom scheduling within departments to big picture mass optimization based on departmental preferences and university priorities.  Data will also flow back and forth between Banner and Series25 via the v3.3.i Series25-Banner interface.  This will allow near real-time updates of key scheduling information from Banner to Series25, as well as sending location updates for academic classes back to Banner from Series25.  In the long run, scheduling academic space in this manner within Series25 will allow Clemson to uilize Series25's web-based master planning system, X25.  X25 gives Clemson the ability to identify and correct inefficiencies in scheduling policies and business practices.

Recent consultations have provided Clemson with a functional Series25 installation and database constructed based on tested best practices.  A development environment is available and ready for the testing of basic event scheduling, Banner data exports, and Schedule25 optimization.
