Umamaheswara Rao Tida is an Associate Professor in the Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clemson University. Previously, he served as an assistant professor at North Dakota State University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2019 and his M.S. in Computer Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2014, and has held research intern positions at Intel.
His research focuses on monolithic 3D integration, electronic design automation, on-chip power delivery, and the interplay between machine learning and integrated circuit design. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award (2025) and the NSF CRII Award (2021), and serves as an Associate Editor for Integration, the VLSI Journal and on the technical program committees of DAC, ICCAD, and ASP-DAC.
