Karleisha Coleman Kakraba, PhD Student, Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management

Karleisha hails from Richmond, California.  She is currently a Phd Student in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.  She graduated from Grambling State University with a B.S., Therapeutic Recreation.  She also holds a MPA, Master of Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino and attended Georgia State University where she obtained a Certificate, Hospitality Administration.  Her research focus is health implications and student identity development in STEM academic support programs.  Karleisha enjoys Indoor/outdoor Games, event Management, and jazz festivals

Savannah Dale, Masters Student, Biomedical Engineering

Savannah graduated from Clemson University in May 2019 with a B.S. in Bioengineering, concentrating in Biomaterials and minoring in Business Administration. She is currently continuing her education at Clemson to pursue a Master of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering. Before becoming the PEER/WISE Graduate Assistant, Savannah was a WISE mentor for two years. In 2018, she was awarded the Women Helping WISE Students Annual Scholarship for her outstanding service to her mentees. Savannah’s passion for the PEER/WISE program is motivated by her love for supporting freshmen and her desire to see more diversity within the STEM field. As the Graduate Assistant, Savannah is responsible for serving as the Teaching Assistant for the PEER/WISE freshmen course, for organizing the spring outreach events, and for supporting the other program coordinators with day-to-day tasks. In her free time, she loves playing the guitar, spending time with her friends, and exercising with her two Labrador Retrievers.
