IMAP Access to Exchange via Outlook andndash Typically used as a sendonly account Step 1: Open your Outlook Account settings by: Control Panel Mail icon and click Newandhellip Step 2: Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click next. Step 3: Check the Manually configure server settings or additional server types box and click next. Step 4: Select Internet Email and click next. Step 5: Input as shown in diagram, replacing with your personal information. Then click the More Settings button. Account Type: IMAP Incoming Mail Server: xmail.clemson.edu Outgoing Mails Server SMTP: mail.clemson.edu Step 6: Select the Outgoing server tab, and use the following settings. My outgoing server SMTP requires authentication: enabled Step 7: Select the Advanced Tab and use the following settings. Incoming server IMAP: 993 Use the following type for encrypted connection: SSL Outgoing server SMTP: 465 Use the following type for encrypted connection: SSL Server Timeouts Greater than 1 minute, we recommend 5 Step 8: If you have input the proper settings, you should see this message if you click the Test account settings button from Step 5.
