View The Full Article
Undeliverable mail frequently occurs because a userand39s Clemson Web Mailbox is too full, or and39over quotaand39. Alleviating this issue can be done in a few ways: If you are still using your Clemson Web Mailbox, you will need to delete some mail in your Inbox or other folders as to free up some space with your account. If your account will not let you delete any emails, you will need to click on and39Optionsand39, then and39Folder Preferencesand39, and then change the and39Trash Folderand39 option from and39INBOX.Trashand39 to and39Do not use Trashand39. This option will allow you to delete any mail that you may have. When you are finished deleting that mail, please change the and39Trash Folder back to and39INBOX.Trashand39. If you are using Clemson Gmail and no longer wish to use your Clemson Web Mailbox, please log on to and39clemson.edu/emailforwardingand39 with your Clemson user name and password. Then, uncheck the box next to and39Deliver email to my Clemson Mailbox mail.clemson.eduand39. This will not stop email from being sent to your Clemson Gmail but it will stop putting it in your Clemson Web Mailbox as well. You will then need to make sure that you do not need any of the emails stored in your Clemson Web Mail account and send a request to and39ithelpclemson.eduand39for your Clemson Web Mail inbox to be deleted. This will clear out ONLY your Clemson Web Mailbox and NOT your Clemson Gmail account. This will allow for valuable server space to be opened back up. Alternatively, if you have your mail forwarded to another email address and you are confident that you do not need any email stored in your Clemson Web Mailbox, please send a request to and39ithelpclemson.eduand39for your inbox to be deleted. This will clear out ONLY your Clemson Web Mailbox and NOT the email stored in your forwarded address. This will allow for valuable server space to be opened back up as well.
