Dr. Kevin Kopera has practiced in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for over 20 years. He graduated from medical school in 1988 at the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his residency in PM&R at the University of Pittsburgh in 1992. He obtained a Masters Degree in Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Kopera has served as Medical Director for Roger C Peace Rehabilitation Hospital, a part of the Greenville Heath System University Medical Center, since 2004. This facility is CARF accredited for Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, Amputee, and Stroke. Dr. Kopera is Board Certified in PM&R and manages the rehabilitation and medical care of patients with all types of disabilities on a daily basis. In addition, Dr. Kopera is Medical Director of Employee Health for the Greenville Health System University Medical Center which includes providing injury treatment and fitness for duty assessments for more than 12,000 employees. Research interests include rehabilitation and objective assessment of the disabled and aging population as it relates to driving. Dr. Kopera also has a special interest in adaptive sports. He works with the United States Olympic Committee Emerging Sport Program in the Classification of Paralympic athletes.
