Farbod Akhavan Niaki is a Research Assistant Professor at Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR). His research focuses mainly on digital and intelligent manufacturing, monitoring and control of manufacturing processes, stochastic state estimation, Bayesian data learning and advanced machining of superalloys. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and his Ph.D. degree from Clemson University Department of Automotive Engineering in 2016.

The research results of Dr. Akhavan Niaki’s work have been published in different peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings including ASME, and SME journals and IEEE proceeding. Dr. Akhavan Niaki is also recipient of awards such as “2017 Reviewer of the Year” from ASME Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering and National Science Foundation (NSF) travel award to present his research work in North American Manufacturing Research Conference.
