Prior to joining the Glenn Department of Civil Engineering, Ms. Beckner taught public speaking and public relations courses in the Department of Communication at Clemson University. In addition, she has taught business writing at Anderson University. Beckner has 20 years of fundraising and marketing experience, having worked in a variety of fields, including healthcare, social services, and higher education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an Executive M.BA., both from West Virginia University. She is a certified fundraising executive, accredited by the CFRE International. Her early career focused on the news-editorial field, where she wrote award-winning articles for newspapers throughout Florida and West Virginia.
