SURE Application

Eligibility Requirements for the SURE program:

Undergraduate students from an ABET-accredited program.

• Majors: Primarily Electrical and Computer Engineering. Closely related disciplines will be considered.
• Typically, one to four academic semesters remain until graduation at the time of participation in the SURE program.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent-resident status
• Minimum grade point average 3.0 out of 4.0

To apply for the  SURE Program in Solid-State Devices for Electronics, Photonics, and Magnetics, please download and complete the SURE application form. You should return the completed form, along with:

• Transcripts of all college courses (can be unofficial)
• Resume
• Brief Statement of research interests and goals
• We strongly encourage applicants to obtain one or two letters of recommendation from faculty members at their college or university.  Good letters of recommendation can strengthen the application. These may be submitted with the main application packet or sent directly from the person writing the recommendation to the addresses below.
