How can I get Clemson wireless on my laptop?

If you have Vista, make sure you install ALL of the available Windows updates to SP1 level and then it should automatically detect the new Clemson wireless - Tigernet - and ask for your username and password with no settings changes.

Why can I not get a wireless connection in my dorm room?

Please see this page for wireless locations on the Clemson Campus. Generally, students will be required to use the faster wired ethernet connections in their dorm rooms. Students may get some 'accidental' coverage from neighboring buildings - but it will be weak and sporadic.
