Clemson University Foundation

A Message from Our President and CEO

Welcome! The Clemson University Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) entity organized solely to promote the welfare and future development of Clemson University. It was chartered in 1933 to support the University’s educational and scientific goals. The foundation receives, manages and distributes restricted and unrestricted endowment gifts, deferred gifts and special gifts — all aimed toward building and maintaining outstanding programs here at Clemson. Gifts to the foundation support and build the academic, research and public service programs of the University through faculty and student aid programs.

The foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business and community leaders who share Clemson University’s vision for becoming a top-tier public university focused on academics, research, public service and student life. The Board of Directors works in partnership with the University to identify, engage and cultivate potential donors and to honor Clemson University’s many benefactors for their generous support.

Those of us who accomplish the work of the foundation understand the high responsibility that we have undertaken. Our donors have entrusted us with their treasure and count on us to grow and distribute their gift for the benefit of Clemson University according to their wishes and the established policies and guidelines of the foundation. It is our pledge to do so with integrity and sound business practices.

Thank you for your interest, engagement and generous support of the Clemson University Foundation.
