Clemson University Research Foundation (CURF)
The mission of CURF is to commercialize the intellectual property of Clemson University through technology transfer, licensing agreements, and new venture formations, and to assist in developing a strong research infrastructure through development and management of research properties, development of technology maturation and early stage research grants, and participation in sponsored research activities.
Clemson University has consistently earned an average of $4.0 million a year in licensing income. Currently, Clemson has over 125 technologies available for licensing. For more information on many of these technologies, please visit the Office of Technology Transfer.
Incubation at Clemson
For over ten years, CURF has supported business incubation at Clemson University through its Center for Applied Technology (CAT). CAT has graduated ten high-tech companies, several of whom have located in the Upstate.
