Inquiring Minds: Engaging Students With Hands-On Science and Math Activities

Description

Inquiring Minds: Engaging Students With Hands-On Science and Math Activities
The overall goal of this Clemson University student-driven program is to excite students about learning science and math through hands-on activities. We hope to accomplish this by:

  • Teaching a series of simple yet powerful math and science experiments to Pendleton Elementary School 5th and 6th graders.
  • Hosting an event where 5th and 6th grade students demonstrate these activities to 3rd and 4th graders and explain the math and science behind them.
  • Involving friends, families, and other community members in the fun.
