Welcome! The Clemson University Rising Star Award is an annual award given to a first or second year student who is currently involved in leadership or service activities at Clemson University and actively pursuing future leadership roles. The recipient of this award sets a strong example for other student leaders and motivates peers to make a positive impact on the Clemson community.
The Rising Star Award is administered by Student Transitions and Family Programs in the Division of Student Affairs.
Award criteria are:
A first year or second year student with a minimum of 15 credit hours completed at Clemson University.
A minimum GPR of 3.0.
Currently involved in leadership or service activities at Clemson University.
Actively pursuing future leadership roles.
Completed application.
Contact information for one reference from Clemson (student, staff or faculty).
The winner will be recognized and honored with a plaque at the annual Student Awards Banquet in the spring.
