Ina B. Durham Annual High School Ethics Case Competition
About the Ina B. Durham Annual High School Ethics Case Competition:
Clemson University's Ina B. Durham Annual High School Ethics Case Competition provides high school students with a methodical approach and solve ethical dilemmas. Teams consisting of two high school students propose a solution to an ethical dilemma using Clemson University STAR Model for ethical decision-making in front of a panel of professional judges. Up to two teams per high school are allowed to compete.
Next year's face to face (F2F) competition will be held in-person on Friday, March 7th, 2025 and the virtual competition will be held on Friday, March 28th, 2025 where a new set of winners will be chosen.
2025 Case Competition Information Packet
Reasons to Participate:
- Gain exposure to realistic ethical dilemmas
- Understand that dilemmas occur everywhere and every day to everyone who makes choices
- Experience with decision-making in pressured and time-restrictive situations at a leadership level
- Participation can be featured on a resume or college application
- Opportunity to network with other high school students, Clemson University students, staff, faculty, and admissions professionals

Ethics Case Competition Registration Information
Registration for the 2024 competition has closed.
Registration for the 2025 competition will open September 1, 2025.
