Support and Services

Student Accessibility Services

Student Accessibility Services (SAS) works with students, faculty and staff to ensure that all students at Clemson have equivalent access to campus curricula, facilities, services and resources through universal design, accommodations and creative solutions.

Office of Access Compliance and Education

The Office of Access Compliance and Education (ACE) provides employee and visitor accommodations – serving those with temporary or long-term disabilities. This office also advises on improving inclusion, campus accessibility and complying with legal regulations.

Parking and Transportation Services

Parking and Transportation Services offers a paratransit shuttle service for on-campus daily activities for registered students, employees and patrons. Additionally, the office provides rentable mobility scooters for registered individuals during events, providing enhanced accessibility within the campus environment.

Digital Accessibility

Digital accessibility is the inclusive design of electronic content that creates a digital environment where people can perceive, understand and interact effectively. It ensures that websites, software and electronic documents are usable regardless of disability, promoting equal access to information and services.

Service Animals

Clemson complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act in allowing the use of Service Animals and approved Service Animals in Training on campus. Clemson also complies with the Fair Housing Act in allowing approved Emotional Support Animals in campus housing.

Visual Interpretation Service

Aira (“eye-ra”)

Aira is a 24-hour-a-day visual interpretation service that connects Clemson University blind and low-vision faculty, staff, students and visitors with live Visual Interpreters through a free app available on iOS and Android devices.
