RYLA Students: Register Here!

Established in 2023, our Leading with Ethics and Determination (LEAD) program is a collaboration between Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and the Rutland Institute for Ethics at Clemson University. This week-long program is an immersive experience designed to engage high school students in thinking about how an ethical approach can take their leadership skills to the next level.

The LEAD program is an extra opportunity for exemplary RYLA students and encourages participants to explore  ethical decision-making and ethical leadership on a deeper level through the use of the Rotary Four-Way Test and the Clemson University STAR Decision-Making Model. This program allows participants to engage in courses in ethics taught by Clemson professors and interact with leaders in professional settings. Participants will hear from Clemson community leaders about putting ethics into practice, and the week will culminate in an ethics case competition.

Outside the classroom, participants will engage in team-building, recreational activities, and get to experience all that Clemson has to offer. We look forward to welcoming students to campus for what promises to be an exciting and fulfilling week!

If you are a Clemson student interested in serving as a counselor for our Summer 2024 LEAD Scholars, please contact our Assistant Director, Emily-Elizabeth Castelloe at eecaste@clemson.edu. Compensation for this one-week role includes a stipend.
