Sheldon Church
WLCC Researchers, working in collaboration with the Preservation Society of Charleston and the Clemson/College of Charleston Graduate Program in Historic Preservation, digitally documented Old Sheldon Church near Beaufort South Carolina. WLCC Researchers working closely with graduate conservation students laser scanned and manually recorded various architectural conditions on the 18th-century church ruin. These conditions were then mapped onto the digital model. The result was a dynamic conservation and site management tool which will provide the owners of the ruin best practices in managing this cultural resource.
