Questions and Answers
Q. Can you provide some background on how the situation has changed since the last effort?
A. The program, site, and budget have changed. The program now includes the Historic Preservation program as well as Architecture, Landscape Architecture and City and Regional Planning. The site is now on Meeting Street in a Business zone, and the budget has doubled.
Q. Would it be possible to obtain a copy of the pre-submittal meeting attendees list?

Q. Will being based out-of-state be perceived as a liability?
A. Clemson University regularly works with firms from all over the eastern US ranging from Boston to Atlanta.
Q. Is the Prime / Project Lead required to be licensed in the State of South Carolina, or may the out-of-state firm lead the team?
A. Proper licensing is a requirement. The Architect of Record and other professionals supporting the effort must be properly licensed in the State of South Carolina before a contract may be signed. This does not mean, however, that the lead must be a resident of South Carolina.

A. The selection committee is comprised of senior University officials and program representatives.
