The Clemson innovation campuses and centers associated with economic development provide coordinated teaching, research and community engagement programs that are aligned with key strategic industry clusters for South Carolina. These campuses and centers also provide specialized facilities and services that create an synergistic environment where Clemson's faculty, staff and students can interact with researchers from our private-industry partners to create new knowledge and new ways of using knowledge. Research is also conducted at the Public Service Activities' five Research and Education Centers (REC) strategically located in the state's distinct soil and climate regions.
