On behalf of the Clemson University Board of Trustees, welcome.
Clemson University is governed by a 13-member Board of Trustees, six of whom are elected by the state legislature and seven of whom are self-perpetuating life members as provided by the will of Thomas Green Clemson. The board is charged to provide policy direction for Clemson University, and we do that through formal action at meetings and through informal exchange of ideas with campus leaders.
We have created this Web site as an information resource to make the structure of the Board, its actions, and its policies as accessible as possible to our constituents. The site contains information about the Board, its members and its organization, as well as two separate and searchable databases. One database is a collection of Board minutes and the other is an index of Board policies.
I would like to draw your attention to our Board of Trustee's manual. In it you will find details regarding Board operations and procedures, as well as some interesting Clemson history including Thomas Green Clemson's Will.
