Christmas for Kids 2023

This year, the Clemson Sunrise Rotary Club donated funding for the annual Thomas F. Chapman Leadership Scholars Christmas for Kids event. The scholars updated the Rotary Club on the Christmas for Kids event, held on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in Fike Recreation Center. They were able to help almost 100 kids from several local schools, including Littlejohn Community Care. The Rotarians had many questions and input to help the juniors as they planned the event for next December.

Abigail Fleig awarded the James Madison Fellowship

"I just wanted to reach out and share some good news. I found out that I was awarded the James Madison Fellowship, which will pay for my MAT program and provide me the opportunity to concentrate my studies on teaching the Constitution. I will also have the opportunity to study the Constitution at the fellowship's summer institute at Georgetown. They chose one fellow from each state, and I was selected as the South Carolina fellow. I have to hammer out some details before I accept the fellowship, but I just wanted to share and thank all of you for everything the Thomas F. Chapman Leadership Scholars program has done for me!"

Connie Henderson, Class of 2014, recognized as Top 30 under 30 Future Leaders of Charlotte

Constance Henderson, Portfolio Management Officer II at Bank of America - "I am tremendously honored and humbled to be recognized as one of Charlotte's Top 30 Under 30. Recently, I have found myself grappling with the fact that my life does not look how I had always envisioned it would at (nearly) thirty. This recognition was a timely reminder that 'different is not always a bad thing! I am so thankful to have a community of family, friends, and colleagues who empower and support me, and a career that allows me to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Cheers to a great (nearly!) thirty years, and I am excited to see what the next thirty have in store."
