Student Research Participation Program (SRP)

About Argonne offers the Student Research Participation Program (SRP). This program extends for a fifteen week period. There is limited flexibility in the appointment period. In addition to their research activities, participants attend a series of seminars and tours dealing with current topics in science and engineering.
Objectives Areas of research include: Physical and Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Coal, Conservation, Environmental Impact and Technology, Fission, and Fusion Technology.
Eligibility Students are recruited from all U.S. undergraduate institutions and must : (be currently enrolled as a undergraduate student; be interested in a career in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics; be 18 years or older at the start of the program; be eligible to work in the United States and hence be requested to provide required information upon acceptance to this program; have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above; and have health insurance.
Funding Housing allowances, transportation, and stipends are provided to participants. The stipend is $425.00 per week. Round trip costs to come to Argonne is provided to students who live more than 50 miles away (some restrictions apply). Local transportation will be provided once a student has accepted an offer. A housing allowance is provided when housing is not directly provided. No tuition or fees are paid to the university.
