Welcome to Campus Rec!

We are so excited you're interested utilizing Campus Recreation facilities, programs, and services to help you reach your fitness and wellness goals. We believe your membership should be a holistic experience and we strive to connect you with the programs, people, and experiences that will meet your needs, satisfy your interests, and maybe even get you out of your comfort zone and help you grow!

All membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Guest are not permitted to use Campus Recreation facilities at this time.

Membership Types & Fees

  • Students
    Membership Access

    Student members have access to Fike Recreation Center, Douthit Hills Fitness Center, the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness & Wellness Complex as well as the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center.

    Fall/Spring Semesters

    The Campus Recreation fee will automatically be added to the University bill for students taking 6 or more hours on Clemson’s main campus. The Campus Recreation fee will NOT automatically be added to the University bill for online classes, courses associated with a co-op/internship, or research hours.

    Summer Semesters

    During the long summer, first summer, or second summer, the Campus Recreation fee will automatically be added to the University bill for students taking 3 or more hours on Clemson’s main campus. The Campus Recreation fee will NOT be added to a student’s University bill for online classes, courses associated with a co-op/internship, research hours, or the summer mini-mester sessions.

    Adding Membership Fees to Your Student Bill

    To add the Campus Recreation fee to your bill you will log in to iRoar, select the Student Billing tab and then click on the Optional Fees button. From there you will add the Optional Campus Rec Fee to your bill. This fee can only be added from the time your bill is generated for the semester until 4:30 p.m. on the first day of class for the semester.

  • Full-Time Employees
    Membership Access

    Employee members have access to Fike Recreation Center, the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness & Wellness Complex as well as the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center.

    Membership Enrollment

    Full time 9 month and 12 month employees will use payroll deduction to enroll in a membership. The fees will be deducted from each paycheck on an after tax basis. Payroll Deduction memberships will continue indefinitely until the employee elects to cancel their membership or separates from the University. 

    To begin your membership, fill out a  Payroll Deduction Enrollment  form.

    To terminate your membership, fill out a  Payroll Deduction Cancellation  form.

    New enrollments, changes to deductions, and cancellations are processed only during normal business hours. There may be a delay in processing any forms received outside of normal business hours.

  • Part-Time Employees & Emeritus Faculty
    Membership Eligibility

    Part-time employees and emeritus faculty are eligible for employee memberships. Memberships can be  purchased online  or in person at Fike Recreation Center.

    Membership Access

    Employee members have access to Fike Recreation Center, the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness & Wellness Complex as well as the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center.

  • F45 Add On Memberships

    You must have an active Campus Recreation membership to purchase an F45 membership.

  • Adult Add On Memberships

    The member connected to the adult add-on must have an active campus recreation membership in order for an adult add-on membership to be purchased.

    Membership Eligibility
    • Spouses/partners of employees/emeritus faculty/students are eligible to purchase an adult add-on membership.
    • Dependents of employees/emeritus faculty/students who are between the ages of 18-26 are eligible to purchase an adult add-on membership.
    • All add-on members must sign Campus Recreations Assumption of Risk and Release from Liability statement  before their membership is activated.
    Membership Access

    Adult add-on members have access to Fike Recreation Center, the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness & Wellness Complex as well as the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center.

    A single adult add-on membership can be added to a full-time employees payroll deduction. If you are adding a spouse/partner and a dependent age 18-26 you will have to pay for one of the add-on memberships up-front. 

    To make changes to your deduction type, please fill out a new enrollment form.

  • Child/Minor Add On Memberships

    The member connected to the child/minor add-on must have an active campus recreation membership in order for the child/minor add-on membership to be purchased.

    Membership Eligibility

    Children/minors who are age 17 or younger and are in the primary care of an employee/emeritus faculty/student are eligible to purchase an adult add-on membership.

     The employee/emeritus faculty/student who is the parent/guardian of the child/minor member must sign Campus Recreations  Assumption of Risk and Release from Liability statement on behalf of the child/minor before their membership is activated.

    Membership Access

    Supervised child/minor members have access to Fike Recreation Center, the Snow Family Outdoor Fitness & Wellness Complex as well as the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center. Child/minor members cannot rent equipment at the Andy Quattlebaum Outdoor Education Center.

    Facility Access Restrictions

    Children/minors who are age 17 or younger must be accompanied by an adult member who is age 18 or older while in any campus recreation facility or on any campus recreation property.

    Fall/Spring Semester Access Hours

    During Clemson University’s fall/spring academic semesters, child/minor members may access campus recreation facilities only during the times listed below.

    • Friday: 3 p.m.-close
    • Saturday: all day
    • Sunday: open-5 p.m.
    Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break Access Hours

    During Clemson University’s scheduled major breaks (winter break, spring break, and summer break) child/minor members may access campus recreation facilities any time during normal hours of operation. 

    Child/minor memberships cannot be added to a full-time employees payroll deduction, they must be purchased up-front.

  • Facility Entry Requirements

    All members must present their own valid CUID, Clemson University mobile credential, or member ID card in order to verify membership status for facility access and program participation.

    When instances occur that the member has forgotten their credentials, their membership status can be verified electronically by a Welcome Center Assistant. This courtesy is offered 3 times per semester for both Fike Recreation Center and Douthit Hills Fitness Center. After the third time, members will need to present their credentials to gain access to campus recreation facilities and programs.

    All Clemson University students must abide by the Clemson University Student Code of Conduct. Consequences of violations may include suspension or termination of Fike Recreation Center or Douthit Hills Fitness Center privileges and referral to the Office of Community and Ethical Standards.

    Campus Recreation has the right to suspend or terminate memberships for violations of Campus Recreation policies and procedures, or actions that violate federal, state, or local laws.

  • Refund and Cancellation Policy

    All memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    Refunds requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Submission of a refund request does not guarantee a refund. The requesting member will be emailed with a confirmation or denial of the refund request. To request a refund, please submit a Refund Request Form.

    Employee members may cancel their payroll deductions for their membership at any time. Employees must submit a membership cancellation form to cancel their membership.

    Campus Recreation has the right to suspend or terminate memberships for violations of Campus Recreation policies and procedures, or actions that violate federal, state, or local laws.
