Institutional Biosafety Committee Training

OBA-NIH has developed “Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules” commonly referred to as the NIH Guidelines.

For work with human body fluids including cell lines, Bloodborne Pathogens Training is required on an annual basis as well as enrollment into the Medical Surveillance Program. The Occupational Health Nurse should be contacted for further information at (864) 656-5529 or spedric@clemson.edu for information on work with other biological/infectious hazards.

For work with chemicals, chemical hygiene training and hazardous waste management training are required.
